Illness related delay

Hey everyone.

Sorry to have more bad news. Its been almost a week since the friend helping me sort out the project files has logged in; which is rather concerning given that they mentioned feeling ill in our last conversation. Given how they are usually pretty active and communicative, I can only assume whatever they caught was very severe...

We were on track to make the new release on the estimated date before this, but I definitely don't think it would be a good idea to rush them when they get back to health, so I'm going to push back the release date again. Sadly, with a "team" as small as mine, one person getting sick is a lot more disruptive than with larger teams...

Unfortunately, the way we were working was that they were making additions and optimizations to the project on their end and then teaching me what they were doing, so I won't have access to the version of the project that is near completion until they get better.  Assuming they do get better; it may be early to worry about, but as anxious a person as I tend to be, I cannot help but worry about the worst...

I will probably try starting again on my own in the meantime just to be safe... I feel rather bad about how many delays there have been on this project.  I've always done my best to try to be as consistent and reliable as possible; so it feels rather bad that things outside of my control keep happening... For now, I've pushed the date back another two months.  Hopefully that will be enough time for either my friend to recover, or for me to finish learning how the project works on my own.

Sorry again for the delays...

Nah man, its better not to rush things and let the team recover in peace. The game is gonna be fire, we dont care if its delayed. Hope a good recover for your friend!

Take the time to do it right and do it well.  It's better to wait for everyone to be healthy and not going crazy than to rush.  The most important thing is everyone's health.  Just keep us in the loop, and positive healthy energy to everyone!

We do not care about the release date, just hope that they get better. We all want quality, and life is way more important.
